Christmas

Christmas is over for another year.  It is now December 27 and I feel like breathing a sigh of relief.  Stores are open, paper and mail is delivered and it seems like life moves back to normal.

I was setting the table for Christmas and it looked so empty with only 2 place settings.  Christmas is a day for family and it’s very quiet with only 2.  I could remember running down the stairs with my sister and brother to open our stockings.  We were allowed to open those before our parents woke up.  Then breakfast, open presents and our big turkey dinner at noon.  When we were older my sister and I would go for walks in the neighbourhood to look at the lights.  The funny thing about all of these memories are they are SHARED.
