A Moment in Time

A Moment in Time
The last picture I took was of my friend when we took goofy pictures outside with the Christmas displays. There is a nutcracker beside the front door so in my picture I kissed it and she is standing in the same pose as the soldier. She is goofy like me (one of the reasons I like her).
I’ve known my friend for 20 yrs when we both went to the same church. For a few years after her grandfather died she lived at the end of our street and we would meet at the Tim Hortons on the corner (not good to have a Tim Hortons on the corner of your street!!). When Janet died nothing changed…we still met for coffee. Most of my friends didn’t know what to say or it was awkward going out with them but not with KJ. There are times when I forget that they lost someone special too.
